Lee`s Restaurant in Kilmarnock

The prices are reasonable, but the burger was dry and didn't come as ordered. To be fair, they were very busy for lunch on a holiday weekend. Sides were tasty.

I go here often, it's a locals restaurant that has been here for years. The food is great, home cooked meals, it's clean, friendly service. I love the fried chicken it's like pan fried, they offer fresh vegetables, and they make their own pies. I highly recommend Lee's .

Lee's is a totally" old school "Village dining, period. Nothing fancy and you arent there for the decor or the social scene, this is just a local place to eat, and one that endured many years. I had the crab cake sandwich that comes with coleslaw and fries.. the fries seemed a bit different in a good way and I really enjoyed them.. and I so glad they didnt salt them to death, as other places do nearby. The tartar sauce was fine and I hear many realy like it, the sandwich itself very decent. I had the chicken salad another time which was enjoyable too.. but not overly filled, just enough.. Prices here greatly vary from a simple grilled cheese sandwich to big steak dinners. I hear their pies are great and reasonably priced too, but I was too full to try any this time! A popular place with locals that's been around a long time.. if you haven't tried it I think you should ..there's a wide array of offerings to start sampling at reasonable prices!

Enjoy eating at Lee's. The last time we went to dinner we ordered coleslaw to go with our meal. It was always the best around. Don't know what happen this time but the coleslaw was definitely not what we usually get. If you have changed your recipe I do not like it. Bring back the old recipe, as the saying goes if not broken don't fix it Other than the coleslaw the food was great.

All you can eat Snow Crab legs tonight. Little pricey, but I got my eat on. Very good. Always friendly staff, and overall great, affordable family style cooking!

Just walked out of restaurant. The staff did not greet anyone walking in. I didn't know if i needed to seat myself or wait to be seated. Once i knew to seat myself no one came to take my order, but they did take the order of 2 tables beside me that came in 5 minutes after me.

Met some co-workers there for an early morning meeting. Great service and great food. Definitely enjoyed and will go back soon.

Good food, quick service and low prices.

I have enjoyed eating there in past. Was miffed today when cashier would not use the little basket of pennies when ring up $9.02. Instead gave me $.98 change. Guess their business is so good customer relations not required!

Just waited 45 minutes for food to come. Supposed to be veal parmigiana but a true Italian would hang his/her head in shame. What is it about restaurants around here? The service side of the business equation is always forgotten. And when the food devolves to just an indifferent formula - never anything new, ever - you wonder if it's really the customer's fault. Read the on-line reviews of Lee's: so many of them thoughtlessly proclaiming how "amazing" everything is. Well it's not - as typified by my all too common experience tonight. A suggestion: every one of the restaurant owners around here in the Northern Neck be required to visit restaurants in Richmond or, particularly, DC (let alone London!) where the basics of running a pleasant, satisfying business are to be experienced. They would find the difference "amazing"!.

Table I sat at hadn't been cleaned. Spaghetti portion was good but I don't care for angel hair pasta. Spaghetti sauce wasn't to my taste. Garlic bread and fries were good. Apple pie sucked. It was flat, crust wasn't flakey and the apples looked old.

My mother in-law, and Aunt told me this was a good place to eat...they were not kidding. I enjoyed my food (Grilled Shrimp with Sweet Potato Fries, and Coleslaw). Food was so good that I forgot to take pictures 🤣, started eating as soon as I saw those shrimps. Service was great too, and we were well taken care of. If you're ever in Kilmarnock VA, please make sure to stop at this restaurant and try something from the menu. Nothing like having home cooked meal away from home when you need it most. Feels like you're in the midst of family there.

The six of us had dinner and everyone was very pleased. The service was very good, friendly and fast. The rockfish, crab cakes, and scallops were enjoyed by all. Especially enjoyed the stewed tomatoes. And coconut cream pie. Wish it were closer to us!!!! The owner was very friendly. Thank you
